So, today at 2pm, Taylor Swift performed a little surprise concert Auburn Hotel and Conference Center. Thanks to these guys and their project, 350 lucky Auburn students got to see her perform live. Regardless, of actually being there or not, Auburn was buzzing with excitement while facebook and twitter were being blown up with T-Swift updates. It was a good afternoon on the plains, a good afternoon, indeed.

an apple a day keeps the doctor away
I've been sick with the stomach bug since Sunday evening. I spent two and a half hours at the med clinic by myself. My parents came and picked me up to take me back home. I've had blood drawn a total of three times. I've been tested for mono, strep, UT infection, flu, and half a dozen other illnesses. On the plus side, I've been excused from class all week. No water aerobics for me! Fortunately, this was the week to get sick. I didn't miss much, except notes taken in class. Thankfully I have the greatest friends in the world who have offered to drive me from place to place, to go the grocery store for me, let me copy their lecture notes, and have just checked up on me.

i'm such a gleek
Good news...GLEE is back!! I've been watching Glee since it premiered last fall, and this season's premier was just as great as I thought it would be. Idina Menzel was a nice touch, especially after Kristen Chenoweth appeared last season. Next week the Madonna episode aires, and judging by this clip, it is going to be fan-tastic.

"Dolphins are just gay sharks."

Auburn Smells Like Honeysuckles. And I Like It.

The love of learning, the sequestered nooks, And all the sweet serenity of books.

So I know these Penguin hardcover classic sets have been out for some time, but I finally bought one ("Emma," just in case you were wondering). They are lovely, lovely, lovely. Let's be honest, I really want the entire set. However, I think I will indulge myself one book at a time. As much as I love the cheap, Penguin paperback classics, this particular set is to die for. I think all books should be just as beautiful.

God Save the Queen
This is why I adore Jude Law. And most other Englishmen, for that matter.
I would have paid big money to see him in "Hamlet."
